| General Introduction | Shanxi Tongbao Energy Co., Ltd. is one of the first batch of key standardized joint-stock pilot enterprises in Shanxi Province established by targeted fundraising on September 28, 1992, with the approval of the Shanxi Provincial Commission for Economic Reform. On November 21, 1996, with the approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the company publicly issued 25 million social public shares (A-shares) to the public through online pricing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. On December 5 of the same year, the company's A-shares were listed and circulated on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Since 1998, the company has started to transform into the power industry, acquiring assets of one 100000 kilowatt generator unit from Liulin Power and two 50000 kilowatt generator units from Hepo Power. In 1999, the company completed the divestment of its non electric assets. In 2002, 752857.14 million A-shares were publicly issued, and the controlling shareholder Shanxi International Power Group Co., Ltd. acquired 90% of the equity of Shanxi Sunshine Power Generation Co., Ltd. In June 2007, the company acquired 10% equity of Shanxi Sunshine Power Generation Co., Ltd. held by Shanxi Electric Power Company. In June 2011, the company issued a total of 273.5615 million shares to the controlling shareholder Shanxi International Power Group Co., Ltd. and its wholly-owned subsidiary Shanxi International Power Asset Management Co., Ltd., to purchase 100% of the shares jointly held by them in Shanxi Local Power Co., Ltd. As of now, the wholly-owned subsidiaries of the company are Shanxi Sunshine Power Generation Co., Ltd. and Shanxi Local Power Co., Ltd., and the participating company is Shanxi Ningwu Yushupo Coal Industry Co., Ltd. Since its listing, the company has gradually grown into an energy enterprise with clear main business, excellent corporate governance, and stable business operation through various capital operation methods such as equity changes, asset restructuring, equity division, and market refinancing. The company was awarded the title of "Excellent Power Enterprise in China" by the China Electricity Enterprise Federation in 2009; Received the "2011 Listed Company Information Disclosure Award" from the Shanghai Stock Exchange, "Excellent Listed Company in Shanxi Capital Market", "Excellent Unit in Investment Relationship Management" and "Excellent Unit in Social Responsibility" from the Shanxi Securities Regulatory Bureau, "Top 100 Capital Brand Premiums of Chinese Listed Companies in 2012", "Top 50 Integrity of Listed Companies (Main Board)", and "A-level Listed Company for Investor Protection of Chinese Listed Companies in 2013.
