Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd. The main business covers container loading, petrochemical, coal mining, steel, grain, automobile and other cargo loading and unloading (including dock and anchorage transfer), warehousing, domestic and foreign cargo and ship agents, as well as domestic and foreign ship entry and exit tugboat services, waterway cargo transportation, and logistics services. The company was established on December 28, 2010, jointly initiated by Guangzhou Port Group, State Investment Transportation Holdings, and Guangzhou Development; In May 2014, the company introduced COSCO Group and Shanghai Zhonghai Terminal as strategic investors. On March 29, 2017, the company's stock (stock abbreviation: Guangzhou Port, stock code: 601228. Outstanding comprehensive capacity of the port The company has three major port areas, namely Huangpu, Xinsha and Nansha, distributed along both sides of the the Pearl River in Guangzhou to the sea port. By the end of 2021, the company has 181 productive berths, including 63 ten thousand ton wharf berths, with a total length of 25.07 kilometers, 76 supporting barge berths, 29 productive anchorage sites (with a maximum anchorage capacity of 300000 tons), tugboat fleets, shuttle bus fleets and port special railway connecting the inland hinterland; Guangzhou Port is one of the four major hub ports for automobile import and export business in China, the largest hub port for energy, grain, and bulk cargo in South China, and the largest domestic trade hub port in China. The port area is seamlessly connected to the country's densest three-dimensional transportation networks such as railways, high-speed railways, highways, aviation, and inland waterways, with unique advantages in river sea and sea rail intermodal transportation. As of the end of 2021, the company has operated 72 shuttle bus routes, forming a service network with Nansha Port Area as the distribution center, radiating towards the Pearl River Delta and the Pan Pearl River Delta region; 30 sea rail intermodal trains have been opened, connecting inland hinterland areas such as Hunan, Jiangxi, Hubei, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan.
